Dare Wright, born December 3, 1914 and died January 25, 2001, is a Canadian-American author, model and photographer for children. She is best known for her 1957 children’s book, The Lonely Doll.

Even though she may no longer be here, there is no doubt that this model, photographer and children’s author has left a mark on the world around her. She may have been considered one of the most beautiful women in the world during her reign, but it seems she was more interested in spending time with her family than being in the presence of another man. This is because Wright was in love with a man who died while serving in the military. She died without a ring on her finger.
