The biggest misconception is that both Lilo and Moana are Hawaiian, which is not true. Lilo is indeed Hawaiian, but Moana is from Tonga or Samoa.
And in Lilo And Stitch, one scene where the Hawaiian culture is showcased, is in the opening scene when Lilo is running late for her hula dance practice. The bongo drums change color from yellow to red. A small mistake, but noticeable.
