The Timeline Of Sleeping Beauty
Both Prince Philip and King Hubert make references to the 14th century in Sleeping Beauty, so it’s logical to assume it’s supposed to take place during that time. But it’s apparently some very futuristic version of that century.
In the film we see fireworks, and people drinking tea. That’s not odd to us modern day people. But the fact is fireworks like those didn’t exist until the 16h century, and tea wasn’t imported from China to Europe until the 17th century.
