This funny little item is another antique shop find. The two pieces nestle together and the only identifying mark the item has is the writing “BX LT” on the sales label. While this looks like a Russian nesting doll, this is likely based on that aesthetic appearance.
Its actual purpose is most beneficial to a seamstress or tailor. The rows on the top pieces are dividers or bobbins. Each section can hold thread wound around it to make for neat and easy storage.
