Redline

The synopsis of Redline sounds like a really bad attempt at creating the next Fast & Furious franchise. Natasha (Nadia Bjorlin) is an aspiring singer and an ace driver. A bunch of guys fights over getting Nathasha on their team and one of those guys eventually kidnaps her. The movie was directed by stunt coordinator-turned-director Andy Cheng. Even as a first-time director, critics couldn’t forgive him for the movie’s horrible acting and dialogue that will make you laugh out loud, not because it’s funny but rather because it’s that bad. The movie is also super misogynistic with numerous critics echoing this critic’s sentiment: “The cars in the film are treated with more respect than the women.” Cheng hasn’t directed a movie since Redline.
