A Tough Decision
As carrying multiple fetuses can endanger both the mother and the babies, Bobbi’s body was under immense strain. With the pregnancy of seven fetuses, there was a significant risk to the health of both Bobbi and her unborn children. In light of this, the doctor suggested that the couple consider a procedure called “selective reduction.”
During the selective reduction procedure, priority is given to protecting the fetuses with the highest likelihood of reaching full term. Consequently, it involves terminating the fetuses with lower chances of survival.
